Occupational injury in the left leg
In 2001, a 29-year-old woman suffered an occupational injury to her left leg. The injury was reported to the responsible occupational injury insurance company, but the case was quickly closed.
Immediately after the accident, the injured party went on sick leave. After the sick leave period, the injured party attempted to retrain and start up a sole proprietorship. Due to the injury to her left leg, she was unable to work sufficiently for the business to become profitable. The injured party had developed CRPS with a medical disability of 60 %. After a new period of work assessment allowance, the injured party was granted 100 % disability benefit in 2013.
Following this, the injured party decided to resume the occupational injury case and contacted the law firm Halvorsen & Co in January 2014. In March 2015, the parties agreed on a compensation settlement totalling NOK. 2,780,000 in the occupational injury case.
