What is social security law?
Social security law is a demanding and comprehensive field. The purpose of the National Insurance Scheme is to provide financial security by securing income and compensating for special expenses in the event of unemployment, pregnancy and childbirth, sole care of children, illness and injury, disability, old age and death.
Here we will limit ourselves to mentioning a few key points and examples.
When do I need benefits from NAV?
Most people have to deal with NAV at some point in their lives. Some people become ill and need disability benefit, while many may struggle to obtain other benefits to which they believe they are entitled.
Do I need help from NAV after an accident?
Many people need assistance from NAV after an accident in traffic or at work.
The relationship with the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) is often a key element in such an injury case, and NAV's decision can have a major impact on the compensation settlement.
What am I entitled to from NAV after an occupational or traffic injury?
As a general rule, you will be entitled to benefits from Nav (NAV/HELFO/Not travelling) if you are ill or injured and covered by Norwegian social security rules.
