Tell us a little about yourself!

- I work as a lawyer and partner at Halvorsen & Co. Started in 2013, and work in the business law group.

- When your colleagues are also incredibly friendly, and many of them have a witty line up their sleeve, you can't help but enjoy yourself.

What is the best thing about working at Halvorsen & Co?

- For me, one of the best things about this job is that the tasks are both stimulating and meaningful. We are trusted by our clients to help them with major and minor problems or needs they may have. Being able to help solve problems and help clients is very rewarding. What's more, no two days or weeks are ever the same, so it's rewarding to go to work. I also believe that for the most part we manage to have a healthy balance with how much work consumes us so that we have time for a rich life in our free time. Several of my colleagues have fun hobbies to tell stories about, be it stories about the band, horse riding or hiking in the woods and fields - among many other things. When your colleagues are also incredibly friendly, and many have a witty line up their sleeve, you can't help but enjoy yourself.

- My previous employer was a government agency. I really enjoyed working there too, but the tasks were more limited to one area of law. I wanted to develop the specialisms I worked with, which I've been able to do to good effect at Halvorsen & Co.

Can you describe a working day for you?

- Today I'm spending a lot of time preparing documents for imminent probate proceedings in several bankruptcy estates in the near future. In addition, I received a new bankruptcy estate yesterday, so I have to familiarise myself with the case and quickly clarify whether there are assets that need to be secured, whether there are employees at work, etc. In an estate where I'm assisting heirs, I've been working on calculating the final distribution of inheritance and finalising the probate agreement. In another case, I am currently following up on the completion of a construction project, where we have to resolve questions about the payment of a guarantee. Today I'm also preparing a lecture we're going to give in collaboration with a local bank, so there are plenty of tasks to get done.
