Arbitrator - Øyvind Kilstad

Law firm Halvorsen & Co AS is strengthening its litigation and dispute resolution department. Lawyer/partner Øyvind Kilstad completed the Arbitration Judge programme in spring 2017. This means that, in addition to ordinary dispute resolution expertise in all instances, Advokatfirmaet Halvorsen & Co AS now also offers arbitrator expertise.

Arbitration is a private dispute resolution system in which the parties appoint the court/arbitrators. The court proceedings and the arbitration decision are generally exempt from disclosure and confidential, and the decision is generally final.

Through his work as a lawyer for almost 20 years, Øyvind Kilstad has gained extensive litigation experience in both commercial and private law, including several cases before arbitration tribunals.

Øyvind Kilstad is head of our business law department and has extensive experience in company law, business law in general and commercial dispute resolution. Kilstad's day-to-day work as a lawyer consists of assisting companies with ongoing legal issues, including litigation assignments.
