What does the wage guarantee scheme cover?

It covers any earned remuneration you may have, but only covers claims up to two times the National Insurance basic amount, which is currently approximately NOK 286,000.
There are some limitations on how old your claim can be and how long a period you can receive cover for. For example, you cannot receive cover for salary claims earned earlier than twelve months before the deadline date. This is simply the day on which a notice of bankruptcy is filed with the district court, and you can find it by searching for the company in the Brønnøysund Register. You can only be paid accrued holiday pay in the same year as the deadline date or the year before the court case.
